How to screenshot a thread

01

Paste any post of the thread

The first post, the last one or anything in between: ShotClerk finds the rest.

02

Pick One image or Split

One tall picture of the whole thread, or one image per post with numbers like 2 / 7.

03

Hide what you don’t need

Leave out posts, then download. Split comes as a ZIP.

What you can do with a thread

Only the author’s posts

Replies from other people stay out. The thread reads the way the author wrote it.

Post numbers

Add 1 / 7, 2 / 7… to every post so readers keep their place.

One style for every post

The background, theme and padding you pick apply to the whole thread.

Translate the thread

Turn on Translate and every post gets a machine translation, marked as one.

Same formats

PNG or JPEG at 2× or 4×, like a single post.

Up to 30 posts

ShotClerk shows up to 30 posts per thread. A longer thread shows its first 30, and ShotClerk tells you so.

From the API too

GET /api/v1/thread/{id} returns the whole thread as one tall image.

One image or Split

Up to 30 posts per thread, in both. A longer thread shows its first 30.

One image

The whole thread top to bottom in one picture: the first post in full, the rest below it. For a blog post, a doc or a single share.

Split

One image per post, numbered 1 / 4, 2 / 4… and downloaded together as a ZIP. For carousels on Instagram or LinkedIn.

How do I screenshot a Twitter thread?

Paste a link to any post of the thread, choose One image or Split and download. Split comes as a ZIP.

Do I need the link to the first post?

Are other people’s replies included?

No, only the author’s own posts, in the order they were posted.

How long can a thread be?

Up to 30 posts per thread. A longer thread shows its first 30 posts, and ShotClerk tells you it’s cut.

Can I leave some posts out?

Yes. Hide any post before you download.

Is there an API for threads?

Yes. GET /api/v1/thread/{id} returns the whole thread as one tall image, and the MCP server has screenshot_thread.
